Amalia Home Collection's Sereno collection brings a clean, modern line to the bed with its double satin stitch. Woven as a 700-thread-count sateen from Giza 92 Egyptian cotton, this boudoir sham has a smooth, cool hand, a soft sheen and a fluid drape.

A flange finished with a contemporary double satin stitch frames all four sides. The small, rectangular boudoir sham adds a final accent at the front of the bed, layered in front of shams and Euro shams. Offered in White, Cool Grey, Midnight, Verbena and Lemonade. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Sateen

Sateen is woven so that most of the yarn floats on the face of the cloth, passing over several threads before dipping under one. The result is a surface that catches light and feels smooth rather than crisp. Its quality depends on the yarn: Giza 92, an extra-long-staple Egyptian cotton, spins into a fine, even thread that keeps the face of a high-thread-count sateen smooth and lustrous wash after wash.
