Amalia Home Collection's Maria collection is made for a serene, quietly luminous bed, where the natural sheen of silk needs little ornament. Made from 19 momme mulberry silk sateen, with a silk face, a sateen reverse and a cotton and polyester filling, this quilted coverlet has a smooth, naturally lustrous face with light, quilted warmth.
A clean, simple hem finishes the edges. It works as a light layer on its own in warmer months or over a duvet when nights turn cool. Offered in Natural. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Quilted Silk
Silk sateen is woven so that long floats of silk lie on the surface, giving the cloth its smooth hand and natural luster. Quilting stitches that silk face to a light filling and a reverse, holding the layers together so the warmth stays evenly spread. Silk is measured in momme, a unit of weight; at 19 momme the cloth is substantial enough for regular use while staying fluid and light.
