Description
Amalia Home Collection's Tamara collection is defined by a sophisticated all-over pattern woven into the cloth, adding depth and quiet texture to the bed. Woven as a matelassé from 100% combed cotton, these shams have a soft, raised texture and a light, breathable weight.
Each Oxford-style sham is framed by a flange with a simple hem on all four sides. They dress the pillows at the head of the bed, layered in front of sleeping pillows. Sold as a pair, in White, Cream and Sand. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Matelassé
Matelassé is woven on a jacquard loom with layers of cloth interlocked as they are made, so its raised, quilted-looking pattern is built into the fabric rather than stitched on. With no batting inside, it stays light and breathable while giving the bed depth and texture. In combed cotton, from which the shortest fibers have been removed, the cloth is soft and strong and keeps its shape through repeated washing.
