Amalia Home Collection's Aura collection takes its name from the fresh morning breeze. Woven as a matelassé from 100% combed cotton and framed in 430-thread-count Giza 94 Egyptian cotton sateen, these shams have a soft, raised texture and a light, breathable weight.

Each Oxford-style sham is framed by a flange with an applied sateen border on all four sides. They dress the pillows at the head of the bed, layered in front of sleeping pillows. Sold as a pair, in Pale Grey, Pewter and Tivoli. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Matelassé

Matelassé is woven on a jacquard loom with layers of cloth interlocked as they are made, so its raised, quilted-looking pattern is built into the fabric rather than stitched on. With no batting inside, it stays light and breathable while giving the bed depth and texture. Here the combed cotton matelassé is framed by a border of smooth Giza 94 Egyptian cotton sateen, setting a soft sheen against the textured ground.
