Amalia Home Collection's Areia collection is inspired by the simple pleasure of walking barefoot on warm seaside sand. Woven as a matelassé from 100% combed cotton, this Euro sham has a soft, raised texture and a light, breathable weight.
A flange with a simple hem frames all four sides of the sham. The square Euro sham adds height and depth when layered behind standard pillows. Sold individually, in White, Cool Grey, Saffron and Midnight. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Matelassé
Matelassé is woven on a jacquard loom with layers of cloth interlocked as they are made, so its raised, quilted-looking pattern is built into the fabric rather than stitched on. With no batting inside, it stays light and breathable while giving the bed depth and texture. In combed cotton, from which the shortest fibers have been removed, the cloth is soft and strong and keeps its shape through repeated washing.
