Description
Amalia Home Collection's Sonata collection takes its rhythm from the structure of the musical sonata. Woven as a 430-thread-count sateen from Giza 94 Egyptian cotton, these shams have a smooth, cool hand, a soft sheen and a fluid drape.
An applied triple ribbon runs along one side of each sham. They dress the pillows at the head of the bed, layered in front of sleeping pillows. Sold as a pair, in White/Sand, White/Dark Grey, White/Midnight, Sand/White and Verbena/White. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Applied Ribbon Trim
An applied ribbon is a separate band of woven trim stitched onto the finished cloth, rather than a pattern printed or woven into it. Because it is built up in layers, it gives a crisp, slightly raised line that frames the bed with a tailored, architectural look. Set against Giza 94 sateen, the contrast between matte trim and soft sheen is what makes the detail read so clearly.
