Amalia Home Collection's Aura collection takes its name from the fresh morning breeze. Woven as a matelassé from 100% combed cotton and framed in 430-thread-count Giza 94 Egyptian cotton sateen, this bedspread has a soft, raised texture and a light, breathable weight.
A flange with an applied Giza 94 sateen border frames all four sides. It works as a light top layer on its own or folded at the foot of the bed over a duvet. Offered in Pale Grey, Pewter and Tivoli. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Matelassé
Matelassé is woven on a jacquard loom with layers of cloth interlocked as they are made, so its raised, quilted-looking pattern is built into the fabric rather than stitched on. With no batting inside, it stays light and breathable while giving the bed depth and texture. Here the combed cotton matelassé is framed by a border of smooth Giza 94 Egyptian cotton sateen, setting a soft sheen against the textured ground.
