Description
Amalia Home Collection's Poema collection is inspired by the romantic cascades of wisteria in bloom. Woven as a 610-thread-count jacquard from silk and cotton, these shams have a richly textured face and a soft, shifting sheen.
Flanges and fine piping frame all four sides of each sham. They dress the pillows at the head of the bed, layered in front of sleeping pillows. Sold as a pair, in Lemonade and Nuage. Made in Portugal.

The Art of Cotton & Silk Jacquard
On a jacquard loom each warp thread can be raised independently, so a pattern is woven into the structure of the cloth rather than printed on its surface. Weaving silk alongside cotton lets the design play with light: the silk catches it, the cotton holds it back, and the motif shifts gently as you move around the bed. Because the pattern is part of the weave, it keeps its depth and definition through years of use.
